We care for one another - and for others

We strive to make Group De Ceuster a great place to work.
A place where mutual care extends beyond our team to the wider community.
This commitment is reflected in our many sustainable, ecological, and social initiatives.

A caring workplace

As a family business, we cherish the warm, family atmosphere within our organization. We regularly organize social events such as a lunch or after-work drinks, where even our CEO, Tom De Ceuster, happily takes a turn behind the bar. Together, we celebrate the start of spring by wearing green clothes or accessories, and we make Christmas a special occasion with original outfits that sometimes even win prizes.

We value our employees and like to put them in the spotlight. On special occasions, such as Employee Day, Truck Driver Day, Cleaning Assistant Day, Compliment Day, and Poetry Day, we surprise them with a gift as a token of our appreciation.

A healthy workplace

Following the motto ‘A healthy mind in a healthy body’, we actively promote a healthy lifestyle. In spring and summer, we provide fresh fruit twice a week, and in autumn and winter we offer delicious, freshly made soup.

We also encourage physical activity at work.
Together, we cover many kilometers, whether walking, cycling, or swimming.
Additionally, employees have the option to lease a bicycle for commuting, leisure, or sports.

Caring for one another

At Group De Ceuster, you will feel at home right away.
Every new employee is immediately paired with a buddy who helps you get to know the organization, introduces you to your colleagues, and ensures a warm welcome.
This way, we make sure you will feel like a true part of the team from day one.

Caring for others

We attach great importance to caring for each other and for others. Every year, we actively support a number of charities and employee-led initiatives.

With our Warmest Winter Bar, we contribute to the fight against cancer. Employees, family, friends, and colleagues come together to enjoy winter drinks, snacks, and entertainment, which always raises a nice amount for charity.

DCM also supports the Mozambican Guano Moz project by providing technical expertise. this project involves producing high-quality organic fertilisers from bat guano. It promotes sustainable employment and improves the income of the local population while respecting the bats' habitat. Through this initiative, DCM shares its knowledge and expertise across borders and actively contributes to improving the living conditions of local communities.

Caring for the environment

As part of 'Bee Week', DCM opened its very own Air Bee 'n Bee's for solitary bees and butterflies. They love to visit the more than 50 native flower varieties blooming near our loading docks thanks to our DCM Wild Flower Mix.

In addition, the 15 nesting boxes on our site provide a home to great tits, blue tits, robins, and other bird species. In this way, we support both the birds and the VOC Neteland association (a care centre for wild animals). Each nesting box has its own DCM buddy, responsible for maintaining and monitoring it.

A clean workplace also requires a clean environment. A team of DCM employees regularly volunteers to clean up litter at Het Ven, the green lung of the industrial estate where the DCM buildings are located in Belgium.
